Actively Autistic started one late night in mid to late January of 2020. 9 months before, I was diagnosed with Autism after fighting for years to get a diagnosis. However, 9 months in and I had no idea of my resources, of how to cope in society, or my place in the world. I begun reading articles and even started to try and make changes at my local college.

Autism is an Identity and that is what I’m fighting for. I wanted everyone to have all kinds of resources out there similar to me, and different than me. I wanted to create a place where fellow neurodivergents could get together and have a safe community/space, to give advice to new and old Autistics’, to fight for our place in this world, and to show that you’re not alone, and thus, Actively Autistic was born.

This is the goal of Actively Autistic. Actively Autistic is here for you, here to help you succeed with me and a bunch of other fellow Autistic friends. To help neurotypicals understand the neurodivergents.
